The All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF） hosted a news conference in Beijing, on June 2, to announce the launch of a project to study the protection of women＇s rights and interests within the framework of China＇s legal system. The project is to begin immediately. Song Xiuyam Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of ACWF, and the project＇s chief expert, spoke during the news conference. Tan Lin, Member of the Secretariat of ACWF and Secretary- General of the Chinese Women＇s Research Society （CWRS）, presided over tile event.
