Trent XWB engine is the sixth model of RR company's Trent series based on Trent 1000 engine. Trent XWB breaks the traditional design such as fan bearing structure, high pressure turbine blade with shrouds, and intermediate pressure turbine stages. Some technologies that demonstrated during the early 21st century were applied. By overviewing the development backgrounds and research developments of Trent XWB engine, the overall structure and each component design featrues were analyzed. Trent XWB engine have good featrues of economy, low emmissions, low noises and maintenance cost.
