Labor , for Marx and Arendt , was the common topic .The concept of labor , however , was defined by them differ-ently.Arendt criticized sharply the labor theory proposed by Marx , but this criticism did not get the real essence of it . People need to respond to and rethink the criticism raised by Arendt so as to reveal the deeper meaning of Labor Theory in the aspect of modernity criticism .
