Teaching team plays an important role in improving the quality of higher education. It has important significance to explore construction teaching team under the new situation of transformation in local universities.Based on the necessary construction of teaching team for geography applied technology courses,the characteristics,construction measures and the achieved effects has been analyzed. Some important construction contents for teaching team,such as the more achievements of teaching and scientific research,giving prominence to the training students＇ innovative ability and application practice,to strengthen technical servicing for local needs,to enhance team characteristics,were determined.
