摘要
本文使用E-Prime编程的"视觉/听觉在线语法判断任务"及"视觉/听觉在线朗读录音任务"四个实验,从视觉和听觉、理解和产出的视角,考察了133名中国中级英语水平者对英语高频程式语的加工优势。研究主要发现:1)四个实验都一致支持程式语的"加工优势假说";2)听者对高频程式语具备加工优势,填补了以往听觉加工优势研究中支撑证据的空白;3)随着语块频数递增,反应时和朗读时皆呈现由慢到快的连续体模式,表明加工优势呈连续体模式。研究结果体现了基于使用的语言观。本文为我国二语教学中要注重高频程式语提供了启示。
The present study intends to investigate the processing advantages of English high-frequency formulas.To this end, four experiments, 'visual/auditory online grammaticality judgment task' and 'visual/auditory online reading aloud and recording task ' are conducted on 133 Chinese Upper Intermediate EFL learners from the perspectives of vision/hearing and comprehension/production through E-Prime. The major findings are:(1) all the four experiments provide consistent evidence to support the hypothesis that formulas enjoy a processing advantage and,(2) hearers also benefit from this processing advantage, thereby filling the blank with supportive evidence in auditory processing.(3) higher-frequency formulas are read faster than lower-frequency ones,, which probably indicates a continuum of processing advantages. The results are in line with Usage-based Linguistics. The study also offers pedagogical implications to attach importance to highfrequency formulas in Chinese EFL teaching.
