不能趋从唐太宗的《圣教序》“校改”《西游记》——《西游记》整理札记之一

小说之创演不能趋同于正史纪实,这是常识。作为中国古典小说《西游记》之所以能名扬海内外,正是可贵的说家创演的结果。《连云港日报》刊出的《港城七旬老人校改〈西游记〉》,文中要对《西游记》中引文"圣教序"按照史实《圣教序》来"校改",显然是有违小说创作规律的,对这样违背学术常识的作为却大书特书,有煞风景。小说创作与正史纪实是两个不同向度,不仅是小说作者吴承恩不会在《西游记》中照抄《圣教序》,许多小说名著都与史实有诸多相悖之处,正是这些小说家可贵的创演才使得文艺作品具有了超脱史实的艺术魅力。

It is common sense that fiction creation should not follow the official annals. As a Chinese classical novel, the repute of Journey to the West at home and abroad should be attributed to the creation of novelist. Lianyungang Daily has published an article titled as ＂The Septuagenarian of Liangyungang Modifying Journey to the West＂, in which the modification according to the official annals Preface of Holy Doctrine is clearly against the law of novel creation and such a violation of academic knowledge should not be publicized. Novel creation and the official annals are two different dimensions. The contents of Journey to the West, as well as other novel classics, have many contradic- tions with historical facts, which is just the artistic charm of novels achieved by novelists＇ creation.
