Exploration on Repeated Characters in "The Book of Songs"

《诗经》中存在着很多由一个音节叠用而形成的重言,有名词、动词、形容词、象声词等四种词性,并且这几种特殊形式在句中的位置不一,有些词一身兼多任、多义。本文尝试对重言的性质、功能等作进一步探讨。

There are many repeated characters, consisting of one syllable that is used repeatedly, in ＂The Book of Songs＂. The re- peated characters have four parts of speech, namely, noun, verb, adjective and imitive words. And the special forms have different positions in sentences, and a word may have multiple functions and meanings. This paper attempts to make a further exploration on the properties and functions of repeated characters.
