埃兹拉·庞德漩涡主义思想的特点——以Ezra Pound英译《月下独酌》为例

The Features of Ezra Pound's Vorticism Idea——An Analysis of Pound's Translation “Among the Flowers is a Pot of Wine”

埃兹拉·庞德不但是一位美国著名诗人,也是一位非常热爱中国诗的诗人,受中国古典诗歌的影响,他翻译的中国诗歌,摆脱了英国维多利亚时期的诗歌传统,开创了美国现代诗歌的先河。庞德翻译诗歌的思想除了早期众所周知的意象主义思想外,还有后来他对意象主义思想进行修正,形成的漩涡主义思想。漩涡主义思想的观点主要体现在以下三个方面:第一动词的使用,包括大量使用动词和避免使用表状态的系动词be;第二避免使用形容词等主观评论性词语;第三静态意象和动态意象的使用。文章通过对比分析庞德和英国汉学家Arther Waley英译李白的《月下独酌》,来说明庞德在翻译诗歌时的漩涡主义思想。文章研究目的是说明中国古典诗歌对庞德漩涡主义思想形成的影响,以及庞德对20世纪美国现代诗歌创立所做出的巨大贡献。

Ezra Pound is not only a well-known American poet,but also a poet who loves Chinese poetry very much. Influenced by Chinese poetry, Pound＇ s translation gets rid of the convention of Victoria poetry and starts American modern poetry. Besides the previous imagism,Pound＇s translation ideas also include vorticism ,which is the improvement of his imagism. The vorticism ideas manifests three aspects：the first one is the usage of verbs,including using lots of verbs and avoiding using the linking verb ; the second one is to avoid using adjectives ; the last one is the usage of static and dynamic image. By comparing Pound and British sinologist Arther Waley＇ s translation of Li Po＇ s poem Drinking alone by Moonlight,this article aims to demonstrate the influence of Chinese poetry on Pound＇ s voticism ideas and his great contribution to American modern poetry in 20th century.
