数字时代非正式学术交流特点的社会网络分析——以小木虫生命科学论坛为例

Social Network Analysis of Informal Scholarly Communication Characteristics in Digital Age——Take BBS.BIOON.NET for Example

非正式学术交流对科学发展起十分重要的作用,数字时代的非正式学术交流展现出全新的特点。文章运用社会网络分析法,从是否利于知识传递和转移的角度对以小木虫生命科学论坛为代表的数字时代非正式学术交流结构进行分析发现,一方面,交流过程的多中心化和网络化有利于非正式学术交流中知识的传递和转移,另一方面,冗余信息增多又一定程度上降低了知识传递和转移的质量。要提高交流质量,必须加强非正式学术交流"他组织"的力度。

Informal scholarly communication plays a very important role in science development, and it shows new characteristics in digital age. The article analyzes the structure of informal scholarly communi- cation in digital age, represented by BBS.BIOON.NET, with the aid of social network analysis from the an- gle of knowledge transmission and transfer, and based on this, the analysis discovers that multicentricity and networking of communication process are helpful to knowledge transmission and transfer, but on the other hand a sharp increase of redundant information also lowers its quality of knowledge in a sense. If we want to improve it, we should intensify the management steps of hetero-organization.
