As one of the national intangible cultural heritages in China, paper cutting, especially Helingeer Inner Mongolia paper cutting, which has been listed as a part of the intangible cultural heritage program is a great treasure to the culture of Inner Mongolia. Helingeer Inner Mongolia paper is a kind of artistic form in many ways： It is an art form that has been widely applied both in general production and people’s daily lives with a long history among local people; It is an art form that was created by the collaboration of people from Mongolian and Han, reflected in its characterized national folk styles. Also, it is an embodiment of the culture and arts of Inner Mongolia. Furthermore, with the economical and cultural pattern, which has been formed through the mixed but harmonious community consisting of people from Mongolian and Han, Helingeer Inner Mongolia paper cutting has a strong folk and regional identity.
