基于SMS/MMS带外园区网监管系统设计与实现

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF OUT-OF-BAND SUPERVISION SYSTEM FOR CAMPUS NETWORK BASED ON SMS / MMS

在传统的园区网管理系统中,SMS业务仅用于单向报警,不能提供网络故障的精细描述,更无法提供交互管理网络手段。带外管理是通过独立的物理链路传送管理控制信息,在链路异常时也能提供管理员操控网络的可能,通过对SMS、MMS业务和SNMP的研究,利用移动网络作为带外网络管理通道,结合网络PDU、以太网温湿度传感器、GPRS Modem等硬件,以及开源SNMP监测软件,用SMS命令实现对网络应急管理和维护,监控网络链路及机房环境变化,通过MMS获取设备端口详细状况。系统实际部署使用后,明显缩短故障响应和恢复时间。

In traditional campus network management systems,SMS service is only used for one-way alarm,which can provide neither the detailed description of network faults nor the interactive networks control means.The out-of-band supervision system transfers the management controlling information through independent physical link,and can provide the possibility for managerial staff to control the networks even the link is abnormal.Through the studies on SMS,MMS and SNMP,we use mobile network as the out-of-band management channel,and by combining the hardware of network PDU,the Ethernet temperature and humidity sensor,GPRS Modem,as well as the monitoring software of open source SNMP,we achieve the emergency management and maintenance of the network,monitoring the network link and the environment changes in data centre by SMS commands,and obtain the detailed status of devices ports via the MMS.After the practical deployment of the system,the fault response time and recovery time are all noticeably shortened.
