Yuantong Hall of Gude Temple in Wuhan is modeled on Ananda temple in Burma, which is the typical style in Southeast Asia Architecture, combined with Gothic architectural technique in Middle Ages. Yuantong Hall gives the viewers a fresh look in formal, aesthetic ,and visual perception. On the aspects above, we discuss how the formal rules and the visual psychology can be applied in the process of aesthetic appreciation, solving the concerning questions on aesthetic perception of architecture.
