漳平永福稀土矿区位于闽西南坳陷带西南部广坪—龙岩复向斜东翼,政和—大埔大断裂西侧。区内成矿母岩为燕山早期第三阶段第三次侵入似斑状中粒黑云母花岗岩(永福岩体)。花岗岩岩体风化壳较发育,分布广,具有离子吸附型稀土矿的矿床地质特征、成矿条件以及稀土矿富集、成矿规律。
