An Analysis of the Value of Wu Culture Characteristics Embodied in the Architectural Imagery of the Ancestral Temples in Huishan Ancient Town

中国祠堂文化是传统文化的缩影,同时祠堂建筑也显现鲜明的地域文化特征。通过研究惠山古镇祠堂群建筑文脉,解析吴文化千年浸濡而形成的建筑意象和特征,挖掘其对建筑地域性和社会性研究和实践的内在价值。

As a miniature of traditional Chinese culture, ancestral temples also embody unique features of local culture. Based on a study of the traditional architectural culture as embodied in the ancestral temples in Huishan ancient town, this paper analyzes the architectural images and features developed under the influence of the long history of the Wu Culture and explores their practical and internal implications for the regional and social studies of architecture.
