Political News Transediting Techniques: an Ideological Perspective

基于新闻编译研究的相关成果,通过对收集的时政新闻平行文本进行分析,探讨了意识形态对于时政新闻编译的制约与影响。意识形态不仅操控译者对于新闻素材的选择,而且决定编译方法的选择,进而对译文面貌产生影响。译者通过删减、另设标题以及在标题与正文之间增加题外议论等方法对原文中的意识形态进行转换,以使译文符合目标语读者的主流意识形态与民族情感。

Based on previous research findings,this study seeks to explore the influences of ideology in political news transediting. It concludes that the translator＇s choices of source news texts and specific transediting techniques are largely affected by ideological constraints. The translator often employs such transediting techniques as deletion,retitling and addition of a heading to make the trans- edited news texts conform to the target readers＇ mainstream ideology. The study is highly implicational for transediting practice and teaching.
