大正时期,众多日本作家来华旅游,江南几乎是他们的必游之地。当时中国正值社会变革之时,政治、经济、文化等各个方面都处于动荡变化之中。不同的访华作家从迥然不同的审美角度,对中国江南进行了各自的观察分析,塑造了不同的中国江南形象。令人流连忘返的水乡江南、散发着魔力的魔幻江南、使人厌恶的颓败江南——这些矛盾的江南形象交织在一起,共同构筑了大正时期日本人心目中的中国江南形象。

In Taisho period,many Japanese writers traveled to China,Jiangnan is almost their itinerary.At the time,China is in a period of social change,all aspects of the political,economic,cultural and other are in the turbulent changes.Different writers from different aesthetic point conducted their own observation and analysis about Jiangnan.Therefore,they created many different images of Jiangnan.These contradictions of Jiangnan image are intertwined,for example Jiangnan water-town which viewers find hard to turn away from,magic Jiangnan which send out magical powers,decadent Jiangnan which made people unpleasant,all of them built the image of Jiangnan in Japanese mind in Taisho period.
