两全其美:双语教学的理想目标

On the Best of Both Worlds: the Ideal Aim of Bilingual Teaching

从"单言单语"进到"双言双语"甚至"多言多语",这已成为历史发展的必然。对于一个多民族国家来说,双语是其生活的重要模式,而双语教学是国家和政府的一项紧迫任务。双语教学的理想目标是"两全其美",但要实现此目标很难。"两全其美"虽然只能是双语教学的一个理想目标,但强调和坚持这一目标,仍有积极意义。当前双语教学的教学法值得反思。大量阅读、大声朗读、强化背诵,在教师指导下从模仿写作到创意写作,是最基本、最有效的双语教学法。

It is the necessity of historical development to transit from ＂single language with single kind of word＂ to ＂two languages with two kinds of words＂ even to ＂multi-languages with multi-kinds of words＂. As for a country with many nationalities, diglossia is an important living model ; therefore, the bilingual teaching is urgent task for both government and country. The ideal aim of bilingual teaching is the best of both worlds. Although it is very difficult to achieve the aim, putting the emphasis on it and sticking with it still have the positive meaning. Currently, the teaching method of bilingual teaching is worthy of being reflected. Mass reading, loud reading, intensive reciting and from imitating writing to creative writing under the guide of teachers are the most basic and effective bilingual teaching methods.
