水族水字研究

On the Research of Shui Words of Shui Nationality

遍查水族水书古籍文献,目前共见不重复的水字单字472个。综合分析认为水族水字是借鉴汉字"六书"造字原理而创造出来的少数民族文字。主要有图画水字、形意水字和假借水字三种类型。尚未发现运用形声造字法创造的水字,这是水族水字停留在较低层面且水字字数较少的重要原因之一。

Through overall checking the ancient books and literatures, 472 single and nonredundant Shui words can be found now. This paper finds that the nationality words, Shui words of Shui nationality, are created according to the word-formation principle of the six categories of Chinese characters. The creation of Shui words can be found in three types： picture-form, ideogram and phonetic loan. At present, the word-formation type of phonogram has not been found, therefore, it is the reason why the creation of Shui words is still in low level and the number of Shui words is relatively small.
