The flexible interception system of RLJ-2010 electric locomotive against running the red light would be the first system using mechatronics technique.The transport efficiency and safety performance of underground locomotives were greatly improved by automatic interception of running red light and enhancement of braking capacity of locomotives.The component,working principle and technology innovations of this system were discussed,and then the application value and perspective of the system were analyzed from economic and social benefits.
