This paper introduced the main characteristics of Spiral Heat Exchanger. Detailed design and calculation was made which took an example of Spiral Heat Exchanger in ammonia evaporation system of refinery factory. The production of the equipment was steady after going into service. Compared with Shell-and-tube Heat Exchanger, it had obvious advantages. Good economic benefit and social benefit have been achieved in application.
