文化翻译观视角下《论语》文化负载词的泰译

Thai Translation of Cultural-Loaded Words in The Analects of Confucius from the Cultural Translation Perspective

从《论语》中的文化负载词入手,探讨文化翻译理论指导下的文化负载词的泰译。通过对AMOON THONGSUK的《论语》泰译本中文化负载词翻译的研究发现,译者多采取"异化"翻译策略,运用多种翻译方法尽可能地向泰语读者介绍和解释文化负载词,以令《论语》文本在泰语文化中的功能最大限度地等值。作者认为,在翻译文化负载词时,"异化"策略的使用,能够更好地传递中国传统文化,符合文化翻译观的主张。

This paper probes into the Thai translation of cultural--loaded words with the guidance of Cultural Translation Theory by focusing on those in The Analects of Confucius . Based on the research of the Thai version of The Analects of Confucius translated by AMOON THONGSUK, the paper finds that the translator adopted the translation strategy of ＂foreignization＂ and other ways to present and paraphase the cultural--loaded words to Thai readers as much as possible, so as to ensure the Thai version The Analects of Confucius to achieve utmost functional equivalence in Thai culture. The paper holds that when dealing with the translation of cultural--loaded words, the translation strategy of Foreignization can better convey traditional Chinese culture and match the idea of Cultural Translation Theory.
