Detection of epidermal barrier function of healthy adult females in Shanghai

摘要 目的 探讨上海地区健康成年女性皮肤屏障功能在年龄及部位上的差异.方法 将150例上海地区(18~65岁)健康女性志愿者分为3个年龄组:青年组(18~ 33岁)、中年组(34~49岁)和老年组(50~65岁);每组各50例.采用无创性皮肤检测仪,对志愿者的额中部、左眼外眦部及左侧面颊的角质层含水量、油脂及表皮水分流失情况进行检测.结果 青年组:额中部水分、油脂,外眦部水分、油脂及面颊水分含量最高.老年组:额中部水分、油脂,外眦部水分、油脂及面颊水分、油脂含量最低.中年组和老年组各部位经表皮水分流失指标比较,虽无统计学意义(P>0.05),但中年组外眦部、面颊经表皮水分流失值最高,而青年组外眦部及面颊经表皮水分流失值最低.各年龄组女性额中部油脂含量远高于外眦部和面颊部位;青年组与中年组间差异有统计学意义(P<0.05).结论 上海地区健康青年女性额中部、外眦部、面颊水分和油脂含量会随着年龄的增长而减少,经表皮水分流失值也表现出随年龄增长而逐渐增大的趋势. Objective To evaluate and compare the epidermal barrier function of healthy females at dif- ferent facial sites and ages in Shanghai. Methods All 150 healthy adult females from Shanghai were selected and divided into three groups, which include the junior group (18 ~ 33 yrs) , the middle-aged group (34 ~ 49 yrs) and the elder group (50 -65 yrs) , and there were 50 females in each group. Skin hydration, sebum content of stratum corneum and the TEWL value of forehead, left eye end and left cheek were measured. Results Skin hydration of forehead, eye end and cheek area and the sebum content of forehead and eye end in the junior group were the highest, while skin hydration and the sebum content of forehead, eye end and cheek area in the older group were the lowest. Although there was no statistical significance observed on TEWL value between the middle-aged group and the older group ( P〉 0.05 ) , eye end and cheek area in the middle-aged group displayed the highest TEWL value than those in the older group. The sebum content of forehead was fairly higher than cheek area in every group and on which the differences between the junior and middle-aged groups were significant ( P〈 0.05 ). Conclusion With the age growing, the skin hydration and the sebum content of forehead, left eye end and cheek area in Shanghai adult females decrease and the TEWL value increase gradually.
