This paper firstly summarizes three major new features of the new urbanization strategy in China, and points out that smart city construction will effectively enhance the level of China＇s urbanization development quality. Then the paper introduces the latest progress in the construction of smart cities in China. And considering the different characteristics among Beijing, Tianjing and Hebei, the paper constructively suggests that Jing-Jin-Ji coordinated development should start from the smart environmental control coordination, transportation infrastructure smart upgrading, and virtual industrial cluster development.
