Acute pancreatitis is a common disease of the digestive system which is a serious threat to human health,and can be divided into mild acute pancreatitis,moderately severe acute pancreatitis and severe acute pancreatitis according to the latest Atlanta criteria. Mild acute pancreatitis always tends to be self-limited and the prognosis is generally good. Severe acute pancreatitis with persistent organ failure has a high post-infection probability and mortality. Treatment of acute pancreatitis is different according to the different types,therefore assessment and early prediction of the disease is very important. There are many predictors of acute pancreatitis,and here is to make a review of the predictors of the severity of acute pancreatitis at early stage.
