摘要
目前,国内外学术界对《二十世纪大舞台》创办者之一孙寰镜的生平及著述进行学术关照者甚少。实际上,作为上海《警钟日报》主笔及《二十世纪大舞台》创办者的孙寰镜如同那个时代大多数有良知的知识分子一样,先选择了一种革命救国的话语逻辑,随着辛亥革命失败,他选择了隐退。其积极参与学术和文学创作活动的一生留下了许多著述。尽管他的戏剧作品极少,但却重在写时事、开创了"丑"作为主角的戏剧范式,并在其中融入了浓郁的历史意识和家国意识,寄寓着朴素而强烈的民族情感。
From available information, few people know about the life and works of Sun Huanjing who was one of the founders of The Grand Stage in the Twentieth Century. In fact, for the chief editor of Alarming Daily and a founder of The Grand Stage in the Twentieth Century, like many conscientious intellectuals at that time, he has chosen the discourse for revolutionary salvation. He lived in seclusion after the failure of the Revolution in 1911 and left volumes of creative and critical writings, among which he created clowns as protagonists in his playwriting. Actually, his portrayal of clowns makes a new theater paradigm mingling the clown characters with the intense historical awareness and the consciousness of homeland, in which contain the strong and simple affections to their nation.
