摘要
针对现有方法对遮挡车牌识别率过低的难题,提出了一种基于多层边缘约束与区域合并的部分遮挡车牌定位方法。该算法首先以边缘方向和颜色对约束对边缘进行筛选,采用自动扫描线法确定候选区域,最后对候选区域进行筛选与合并,实现遮挡车牌的定位。实验表明,该算法对4位以下两端遮挡车牌定位的成功率在90%以上,对4位以下中间遮挡定位的成功率在85%以上。
To cover the problem of the low recognition rate of part obscured plate location of the existing methods, this pa- per presents an algorithm based on multiqeve[ edge constraints and region merging . First, filter the edge on the basis of direction and color pair constraints, and then determine the candidate regions through automatic scanqine algorithm, the last, complete the location of part obscured license plate based on filtering and merging the candidate regions. Experimen- tal results show that the success rate of the algorithm to locate the license plate with head or tail obscured within four characters is above 90 percent . And the same rate for middle obscured of four or less characters is above 85 percent.
