Culture of Traditional Chinese Family Education and the Formation of College Students' Self-disciplined Consciousness

勤俭廉洁思想是中国传统家训文化的精华。"勤俭互生,奢贪同源",勤俭持家,慎独自律,勤政廉洁等价值理念,有助于丰富大学生廉洁自律教育的内涵。养成大学生廉洁自律意识,应主动借鉴传统家训培养子弟勤廉价值观的教育实践及其教育方式,高度重视教育者的示范与引导作用;应以事说理,以史证理,言之有物;应结合大学生的日常生活与学习,于细微处养成勤俭自律的习惯;应坚持教育引导与惩戒约束并重,培养大学生的良好品德。

Diligence and honesty reside in the core of traditional Chinese family education. Extravagant life leads to corruption,while diligence results in thrift. The ideology of frugality, self-discipline and integrity helps to enrich the connotation of college students＇ clean and self-regulation education. To foster their clean and self-disciplined consciousness, we should actively draw lessons from the educational practice and approach applied by the traditional Chinese family education to cultivate the diligence value of a young generation. We should also emphasize the exemplary and guiding role of educators. What＇s more, we should be theoretically strong and convincing, help students develop a good habit of being diligent in their daily life and study, and pay equal attention to educational guidance and punishment in order to strengthen the formation of college students＇ clean consciousness.
