美国SIOP模式与中国外语专业大学生批判性思维能力发展研究 被引量:29

On American SIOP Model and Cultivation of English Majors' Critical Thinking Ability in China

摘要 近年来很多国内知名教育专家指出我国外语专业大学生"思辨缺席"或批判性思维能力低下。如何提高外语专业学生的批判性思维能力已成为外语教育界亟待解决的问题。本研究以美国SIOP模式为基础,从文献论述和实证研究两方面探讨SIOP这种以学科内容为依托的语言教学模式对培养我国外语专业学生批判性思维能力的有效性。对60名西安外国语大学英语专业大一学生进行为期半年的实验表明,SIOP模式可以有效地培养学生提出高认知水平问题的能力,并能全面提高学生的批判性思维能力,SIDP模式值得尝试和借鉴。 In recent years many professionals have found that the English majors are deficient in critical thinking known as" ab- sence of critical thinking ". So the cultivation of English majors' critical thinking ability has become a priority for teachers in foreign language education. This paper, by way of empirical study and literature review, attempts to explore the effectiveness of the content-based language instruction of American SIOP Model on the development of English majors' critical thinking abili- ty. With 60 freshmen from Xi' an International Studies University as participants, we have conducted a one-semester experi- ment and found that The SIOP Model can effectively train students to pose high-leveled questions and comprehensively improve their critical thinking ability.
