摘要
本文探讨了语言测试领域中一个历来为人所回避的难题——在影响语言测试表现的非智力因素中,哪些是主要因素,哪些是次要因素?本研究通过对500名非英语专业本科生的问卷调查,借助灰色关联分析,比较了14种非智力因素对语言测试表现的影响。结果显示失败规避动机、表现规避目标、特质焦虑和力求成功动机是对语言测试表现影响较大的四个主要因素。基于这一结果,本文提出未来研究方向及教学策略,力求为大学英语教学改革和语言测试研究提供又一思路。
This paper is aimed to solve a hard nut in language testing arena, which has always been bypassed by researchers-- the ranking of some non-intelligence factors in the light of their impact on languge test performance. With Grey relational anal- ysis, through empirical study, this study has calculated the comprehensive grey correlations of 14 non-intelligence factors based on a sample base of 500 non-English major undergraduate students. Results indicate that Achievement Motivation to A- void Failure, Performance-Avoidance Goal, Trait Anxiety and Achievement Motivation to Succeed are the top four key factors that affect language test performance, based on which future teaching strategies and research orientation have been suggested, with an expectation to offer another perspective to the reformation of college English teaching and development of language tes- ting research as well.
