中英滇缅界碑“有脚”——清末民国时期国家争界与边民生计之角力

Transposition ofthe Boundary Pillars of China-Burma:Competition between the Country Boundary Claiming and Border Inhabitants' Living in Late Qing-Republic Period

19世纪末中缅勘界,除南北两段未定界地带争执不下,其他地段国界走向都已划定。然而,滇西"已定之界"在此后数十年间不时因界桩位置成中英争议事件,并且不乏边民私立、迁移界桩的现象,又以滇民移界桩侵入华境为特殊。边界成为诸多力量角力的场域,既是国家主权之争,也为边民生计之争。

In the late nineteenth century,the boundaries between China and Burma were demarcated,except the controversial parts in the south and north.Nevertheless,in the following decades,the changing location of the pillars on the＂demarcated boundaries＂in the west of Yunnan led to controversies between Britain and China now and then.Meanwhile,secretly setting up or removing boundary pillars also took place,especially moving the pillars into Chinese territory on the part of Yunnan border inhabitants.The pillars became the focus where multi-party forces wrestled for,not only for the sovereignty,but also for the border inhabitants＇ livelihood.
