The model of collaborative innovation plays an important role in promoting the evolution and implementation of collaborative innovation effects. The paper introduces the construction mode of regional collaborative innovation from the perspective of the function of regional collaborative innovation and then finds that the mode is different in construction at home and abroad. The classification of collaborative innovation mode at abroad at present includes agreement cooperation mode, legislative cooperation mode, meeting cooperation mode. The classification of the mode of collaborative innovation in present situation for department and city includes agreement cooperation mode, investment fund mode, meditational mode, meeting mode and so on. All the modes play an important role in promoting the development of collaborative innovation and enriching the content of collaborative innovation.
