On the Teaching of British and American Literature in the Local Universities From the Perspective of Multi- intellectual Theories

英美文学课程是我国高校英语专业学生的一门必修课程,它不仅可以丰富学生的文学知识,还可以提高学生的人文素养,对我国的素质教育有良好的推动作用。文章以多元智能理论为基础,分析了目前地方高校英语专业英美文学课程教学存在的问题,探讨了多元智能指导下的英美文学课程教学,旨在提高地方高校英语专业英美文学课程的教学效果。

British and American literature course is one of the compulsory courses for College English Ma -jors in China;it can enrich students ’ literature knowledge and improve their humanistic quality , which has a good promotion to our country ’ s quality education .Based on multi -intellectual theories , this article has analyzed the present problems of British and American Literature Course for English majors and discussed its teaching under the guidance of the theories for the purpose of improving the teaching effect of British and American literature course for English majors in local colleges and universities .
