Based on the style of Gothic novels , Allan Poe boldly innovated and enrich the performance space of Gothic arts , and push forward a new position . This paper comprehensively analyzes Gothic novels and discusses the inheritance and development of Gothic novels from the perspectives of subjects , construction of Gothic scene and building horrible atmosphere , in order to better recognize the position of world literature and the influence on later writers.
