Contrastive Analysis of Metaphor in News Speech from the Perspective of Culture

概念隐喻是人们用来理解抽象概念,进行抽象推理的主要机制,能将政治语篇中的抽象概念化繁为简,因而受到当代领导人的欢迎。本文在概念隐喻理论指导下,对比分析国家领导人新闻演讲中概念战争隐喻,进一步阐述背后的文化因素,加强人们对和平发言的理解,进而促进两种文化的交流。

Conceptual metaphor is the main mechanism which can understand abstract concepts, conduct the abstract reasoning and sim-plify the abstract conceptualization in political discourse, so it received welcome from contemporary leaders. In the guidance of the theory of conceptual metaphor, this paper contrastively analyzes concept war metaphor of nation＇s leaders in news speech , in order to find out the cultural background behind it and promote the understanding of peace , as well as the cultural exchange.
