柔石,作为左联作家,同时也是浙东乡土作家群的一员,长时间来一直被放在他所属的两大群体中进行研究和讨论。事实上,他小说中所呈现的无力感及其时代意义足以使他区别于两大群体其他作家,成为独特的存在,而其创作中感同身受的同情态度和对于摇摆状态的动人书写也使得这种无力感发挥到极致。

Being the member of both the League of Left - wing Writer and Zhedong Local Group, Roushi and his works have been studied and discussed in the frame of the two groups. Yet Roushi contains distinctive representation on characters＇ feeling of powerlessness in novels and its contempo- rary significance distinguishing from the other writers in aforementioned groups, especially in creation the powerlessness is extremely developed by appreci- ating his sympathy to characters as personal favor and intensive depiction of undecided people.
