摘要
《四库全书总目》不著录通俗文学,但因所收书籍多有涉及,不得不有所评述。该书多处谈及通俗文学,编撰者对其较为熟悉。《四库全书总目》编撰者以史书的真实性标准要求通俗文学,对其持排斥态度,反对其他书籍引用或谈论,体现了朝廷意志。但该书自相矛盾,前后不一,可见编撰者个人观点与朝廷立场的差异,也可见通俗文学在当时影响之深广,无法回避。
Popular literature was excluded from Si Ku Quan Shu ZongMu. However, the compilers had to make some comments, since the compiled collection may be involved in some issues ralated to popular literature. They maintained that popular literature may violate the authenticity of historical documents and the regime＇ s wills, therefore, should not be taken seriously into others books or talks. In spite of that, they failed to get ride of influence of popular literature and couldn＇t helping reviewing it here and there throughtout the whole collection. This ambivalence represents somewhat ideologic and aesthetic inconsistence among the compilers.
