A Study on Development of Indo-Myanmar Economic Relations Since 2000

进入21世纪以来,印度与缅甸两国政府采取了一系列发展双边经济关系的措施。在这种背景下,两国商品贸易快速增长,印度在缅甸对外贸易中的比例提高;印度对缅甸直接投资增多,但数量依然较小;印度还对缅甸的一些项目进行援建,提供了一些发展援助。但两国的经济关系发展依然受到多种因素的限制。预计今后两国经济关系会加强。

Since 2000,the governments of Indo-Myanmar adopted some measures to development their economic relationship. In this context,the merchandise trade of Indo-Myanmar grew quickly,Indian status in foreign trade of Myanmar rose;India also increased investment to Myanmar,but the amount was smaller;India also constructed some projects of Myanmar,provided some development aid to Myanmar. Although a few of factors will still restrict economic relations development of Indo-Myanmar,but their relations still expected to be strengthened in the future.
