Mr. Shen Xiaoding＇s book Hunan Modem Library History has made a systematic review on Hunan librarianship from the end of 19th century to 1949 under the background of modem history for the first time. This book has involved the development process of Hunan libraries, the construction of library management system and regulations, the library building, academic exchange and research which has filled the blank of academic research.
