摘要
杜威在反对传统形而上学的同时是否有其特殊的形而上学形态?这是杜威学界一直存在争议且迄今尚无定论的问题。答案是肯定的,杜威确实阐明了一种可以被称为"方法性形而上学"的构想。为了准确把握这一构想,我们必须从一个关键概念着手,这就是"交缠的事件"(entangled events)。从杜威的经验观中可区分出直接经验、工具化经验和审美经验,这一区分的前提是经验事件的相互交缠这一基本事实。"交缠的事件"是我们理解杜威的方法性形而上学的基础。
It has been an unsettled issue of controversy that whether Dewey's anti-metaphysics project has its own metaphysical form. The author argues that Dewey does have a special form of metaphysics that can be called methodological metaphysics. The author further argues that we need a key concept, which is the idea of entangled events, to properly understand this new form of metaphysics. To justify these points, the author will distinguish direct, instrumental and aesthetical experiences in Dewey's account of experience, and then clarify the status and effect of the aforementioned key concept in these three layers respectively.
