The Book of Job is one of the most important yet the most controversial chapters of the wisdom liter- ature in the Hebrew Bible. Under the guide of intertextuality theory, this paper aims to interpret its deep connota- tion from the words symbol and subject retrieval. It also interprets the theme in a pioneering way according to the historical background and the continuation of religious culture context.
