Implementation of mass line in armed forces during Yan′an period

延安时期人民军队在自身建设和军事斗争中,继承党的群众路线的优良传统,在理论和实践上廓清了军队坚持群众路线的基本内容:人民战争思想是党的群众路线在军事斗争实践中的运用;军民一致是党的群众路线在军队处理外部关系上的根本要求;官兵一致是党的群众路线在军队处理内部关系上的根本原则;"三大民主"则是军队贯彻党的群众路线制度化的反映。

During the Yan＇an period, the people＇s army inherited the good traditions of the Party＇s mass line and summarized its basic contents after years of self construction and military struggle. The thought of ＂People＇s War＂ is the application of the mass line in military struggle. The unity between army and people is the fundamental requirement in dealing with external relationships, while the unity between officers and soldiers is the cardinal principle in dealing with internal relationships of the army. At the same time, ＂Democracy in the Three Fields＂ is a reflection of the armyrs implementing the Party＇s mass line.
