地方高校英语专业学生中国文化英语表达能力研究——以咸阳师范学院外国语学院为例

A Study on Chinese English Major Students' Ability to Express Chinese Culture in English in Local Universities——A Case Study of Foreign Language School in Xianyang Normal University

本文以咸阳师范学院外国语学院英语专业100名学生为研究对象,采用测试卷与访谈为研究工具,调查了地方院校英语专业学生中国文化英语表达能力的现状。调查发现由于文化输入失衡、高校课程设置不合理、学生英语基础薄弱等原因造成地方院校英语专业学生中国文化失语现象。针对这一现状,笔者提出了提高地方院校英语专业学生双向跨文化交际能力的对策。

On the basis of tests and interviews, a quantitative and qualitative study on Chinese English major students＇ ability to express Chinese culture in English in local universities is conducted. The investigation finds that English Major Students in Local Universities have poor ability to express Chinese culture in English,which results from several factors including students＇ poor language ability, inappropriate design of major courses and non-balanced input of culture in target language and native language etc.. In view of these problems, this paper explores how to efficiently integrate Chinese culture into English teaching.
