广西壮族地区是地中海贫血高发区,其中重型地中海贫血是广西壮族地区主要出生缺陷之一,因为该病目前缺少有效治疗方法,所以宣传预防知识,让人们认识到其危害性,充分配合实施婚前、产前筛查,发现高危群体后要做好产前诊断,一旦发现妊娠重型地中海贫血患儿的孕妇,及时做好干预措施,让其终止妊娠,最大限度减少出生缺陷患儿。
