Revisiting Modernism Literature

笛卡尔和胡塞尔的先验唯心主义哲学都是向内追溯,把外在世界完全悬置起来,一直追溯到不能追溯的起点,再从此出发。但这样的话,一个人要思考,必须用私人语言,据维特根斯坦的研究,是不可能存在的。而以先验唯心主义哲学为基础的现代主义文学由于系统运用私人象征,实际上已经变成了一种私人语言。这样,维特根斯坦对现代主义给予了致命一击。同时,由于形式主义理论存在重大缺陷,现代主义文学的基础全部崩塌。

Descartes and Husserl＇s transcendental idealistic philosophy, completely suspending the outside world, traces internally back to the starting point, and then sets out from here again. But in this case, a person must use private language to think. According to Wittgenstein research, it is impossible, however. Based on transcendental idealist philosophy, modernist literature has in fact become a private language as a result of the use of private symbols. In this way, Wittgenstein gave a fatal blow to modernist literature. At the same time, because of the serious defects of formalist theories, modernist literature has been thoroughly undermined.
