批判性思维与“高级英语”教学

Critical Thinking and“Advanced English”Teaching

在西方发达国家,批判性思维的教学早已成为教育界的一个重要主题。学者们对批判性思维的概念、特征等进行了研究和界定,为各个学科中如何提高学生的批判性思维打下了基础。前人的研究还表明批判性思维在语言学习有着非常重要的作用。在前人的基础上,将提高批判性思维的三大策略应用在"高级英语"课程教学中,提出了课堂教学的一些具体的教学方法,以期改进英语专业学生在批判性思维上的不足。

Critical thinking has long been an influential part of western education.Though previous researches have not reached a clear agreement concerning the definition of the term itself,they have identified the characteristics of critical thinking,hence,laid a foundation for further study in the context of different subjects.It is also agreed on that critical thinking plays a crucial role in language acquisition.The present study applies the three methods of improving critical thinking in the course of＂Advance English＂and puts some suggestions for teachers as how to conduct them in classroom.It is an effort to solve the absence of critical thinking in English majors.
