英语专业一年级学生多元识读能力实证研究

摘要 以英语专业一年级学生的25个手抄报多模态语篇作为语料,从多元识读能力实践框架、图文逻辑语义关系和色彩的符号资源解读角度分析了英语专业大一学生的多元识读能力现状和表现出来的多元识读能力共性特征。研究显示:英语专业一年级学生多元识读能力比较弱,很多模态的使用仅凭经验或个人爱好,在文字、图画、颜色、版式等方面的运用都显得比较混乱,同时也缺乏和谐运用各种模态更好地进行整体意义构建方面的知识。他们的多元识读能力表现出识别识读能力比较强、再现识读能力和评判识读能力比较弱的共性特征。 Taking 25 English major freshmen's English writing papers as multi- modal language data,the author analyzes their ability and common characteristics of multiliteracies from the aspects of the framework of multiliteracies practice and the network of logical semantic relations between texts and images and the interpretation of semiotic resource of color. It shows that freshmen's multiliteracies ability is poor and there is no rule to be found to guide their usage of semiotic modes like words,images,color and format except their personal experience and likings. Meanwhile,they lack the knowledge of constructing meaning with the cooperation and coordination of different modes. It also shows that English major freshmen are good at recognition literacy while weak in representation literacy and critical literacy.
