摘要
在中国近代师范教育史中,特殊师范教育并没有得到应有的重视,甚至没有被纳入到官方的师范教育体系之中。特殊师范教育经历了一个艰难、孤独而又特殊的探索历程。其中,基督教会与中国的民间力量在我国特殊师范教育的孕育过程中发挥了奠基性的作用。开创我国特殊师范教育先声的是教会在华办的特殊学校,它们在我国特殊教育发展的初期发挥了师资培养基地的作用,兼具师范学校的功能。而后,民间力量的参与、政府机构的介入与教会特殊学校所兴办的师范教育前后交织在一起共同构成了近代中国特殊师范教育的发展脉络。
