摘要
以俄狄浦斯原型研究为线索,探讨这一原型在弗兰纳里·奥康纳的小说《智血》中的意义。奥康纳借用俄狄浦斯这一追寻式英雄原型将小说主人公黑兹尔的托金汉姆之行塑造为一次追寻精神家园之旅。这一追寻之旅不仅揭示了由世界的祛魅所造成的人的精神沉沦的问题,同时也让黑兹尔获得了对自我的认知。最后黑兹尔对复魅的追寻让他找到了精神家园,奥康纳也借此表达了她希望价值理性重回人间的愿望。
This article explores the meaning of the Oedipal archetype in Flannery O＇connor＇s novel Wise Blood. By using the archetypes of quest embodied in the image of Oedipus,O＇connor delineates Hazel＇s journey in Taulkinham as a quest for his spiritual home. This quest not only exposes people＇s loss of soul caused by disenchantment but also makes Hazel obtain his self-knowledge.At last,Hazel＇s effort of re-enchantment manifests O＇Connor＇s wish for the return of value rationality to the disenchanted world.
