九龙沿革考释

Textual Research on Historical Evolution of Jiulong

九龙作为丽水的一个村名经历了从分散取名、统一改名,到最后定名的过程;其建置沿革:先为村、市、镇、乡,后为自治区、公社、乡;其经济生活沿革:先为刀耕火种,兼务渔、林、牧,到货物集散、商贸交易,以至成为乡的政治、经济、文化的中心。九龙的变革过程曲折地映现一个区域社会与经济盛衰变化的历史轨迹。

In terms of the place name, Jilong underwent a process from diversified naming for different locations within it, unified renaming and the establishment of its final name. In administrative establishment, it used to be a village, a bazaar, a town, a rural township, an autonomous area, a people＇s commune, and finally became a rural township again. In terms of the historical evolution of its economic life, it fist developed from slash-and-burn cultivation to the combination of fishery, forestry, animal husbandry and afterwards to goods distribution and commercial transactions, and thus it finally became the political, economic and cultural center of the township. The evolution in these three respects reflects the history track of the ups and downs in the social and economic changes of a regional community.
