This paper summarizes our clinical experience for treatment of diabetes mellitus complicated with carbun- cle. We believe that the Chinese equivalent of diabetes complicated with carbuncle is Xiaoke with carbuncle. The staging syndrome differentiation and treatment, combined internal and external treatment, combining prevention with control, par- ticularly emphazing on Fuzheng Tuodu and application of Qi and blood in the whole progress of illness have achieved good clinical efficacy.
